For the past thirty years, Beltran’s Nursery and Landscape has offered palm trees for sale in the Port Charlotte area. We grow more than 60 acres of quality palm, citrus, and shade trees in many different varieties.
We are happy to provide any assistance you need to make your tropical landscape the paradise you deserve. We have two locations in Southwest Florida – our original location is on Pine Island and our second nursery is in Punta Gorda.
Our Climate
Here in Port Charlotte, we have brief winters with moderate temperatures and long, sultry summer seasons. The area is generally classified as either humid subtropical or tropical savanna and is in USDA Hardiness Zone 10. These environmental factors are important as we develop quality plants and trees that will thrive in your landscape.
Our most popular varieties include:
- Areca Palm:
These lush beauties are commonly used as weather or privacy screens that grow moderately fast and tolerate drought conditions well. - Adonidia Palm:
These palms are on the shorter side, growing to a maximum of 25’. Also called Christmas palms, these trees come individually or as a group. - Foxtail Palm
This palm is a unique option in that the canopy is thick and green and the leaves leave behind coppery, dramatic scars when they fall. - Bismarckia Palm
The majestic beauty of these trees is two-fold. The thick trunk and bluish tinted fan foliage are dramatic. These slow growers can eventually reach heights of 30’ to 50’. - Pygmy Date Palm
These trees are otherwise known as the Phoenix Robelenii, and they’re sold singly or in groups. They are hardy even in cold temperatures and ideal for filling small spaces where larger palms will quickly overtake the space.
Beltran’s Nursery and Landscape takes immense pride and joy in our efforts to grow and provide quality plants for the Southwest Florida area. We also offer installation and maintenance landscaping – professional services that help protect the investment you have made in the beauty of your landscape.
We will include instructions for the acclimation period and maintenance requirements with the sale and delivery of your plants. Applying the proper amount of water is of critical importance. Limiting the stress and jostling that your tree incurs during installation is also important. For this reason, we only use Kubota tractors and equipment during the digging and installation phases of your tree purchase. These machines are proven to minimize the disruption to the tree.
